On the pious occasion of Janamasthi & eve of 63rd Independence Day, the entire Sant Nagari throbbed on the Patriotic extravaganza presented by Palak & Palash, the renowned siblings singing for the cause of saving poor child heart & kidney patients.
Palak, 17, started Singing at the tender age of 4. When she was six years old, she started singing various parts of Indore city to collect funds for family members of martyrs of Kargil war. When she heard that a 5 years old boy named Lokesh from her own city, Indore, is in need of financial assistance for urgent heart surgery she started performing stage shows street to street. Luckily she collected enough money for the heart surgery in the only one show. And thus began her mission to collect funds for child heartpatients by performing stage shows across India and abroad. Palak and her parents do not receive any benefits from her charity shows. They accept cheques / DD in the name of hospital / doctor. Till date, with the amount of Rs. 1.71 Crores raised through 1460 stage shows across the world, 339 child heart patients have been given new lives. She has won many national and international awards for her singing talent and noble deeds.
Palash, 14, is equally talented artist, supporting the mission of her elder sister. Palash has rare talent of playing synthesizer through forehead and he is claimed to be the youngest guitarist in the world. In addition to supporting her sister in operating the poor child heart patients, he has taken up the task of helping the poor child Kidney patients. Till date, with the amount of Rs. 1.25 Lacs raised through stage shows, 4 child kidney patients have been operated. Besides, he is shouldering responsibility of educating 11 poor children.
About 8 years ago, when Rev. Sidh Bhauji informed Paramhans Santji about Baby Palak and her mission, Santji became very happy and directed us to support & motivate this little angel. Thus, her five stage shows were organized in different schools of Sant Nagari and our Trust donated a substantial sum for her cause. Infact, the stage shows at Sant Nagari were the turning point for her mission and her successful singing career. She always gives credit to Paramhans Santji and Rev. Sidh Bhau for what she is today.
The musical concert on 14th August was performed after the long span of 8 years. In between these years, our Trust kept on helping her financially for the mission.
In addition to the pious presence of our guide and motivator, Rev. Sidh Bhau, the function witnessed large gathering of 700 plus people, comprising of Justice D M Dharmadhikari (President, Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission) as a Chief Guest, Mr. Jitendra Daga, Local MLA as a Guest of honour, renowned social workers, volunteers, teachers and students of various schools.
Both the angels mesmerized the audiences with their talent and performance that the audience could not stop themselves and started dancing on the songs. The whole atmosphere inside the Auditorium turned into patriotic fervor and some songs like E Mere Watan Ke Logon, Jara Aankh Mein Bhar Lo Pani:: Kar Chhale Hum Fida Jaan-o-Tan sathiyon, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyon….. brought tears in the eyes of audiences. Every song received big round of applause from the gatherings.
In his motivational and heart rendering appeal, Rev. Sidh Bhau requested the audiences to donate wholeheartedly for her cause. He said, people spend good amount on the medical and life insurance but do not think about the poor counterparts, who are deprived of proper medical care due to the acute poverty. He added, whosoever would donate for the mission of Ms. Palak, would get assurance (insurance) of good health, happiness and prosperity from Almighty Himself, with the blessings of poor children.
His appeal moved the hearts of people so much that the prominent figures present in the Auditorium started committing their donation for the cause.
The Local MLA Jitendra Daga committed to donate Rs. 2.55 Lacs for the surgery of five poor children (@Rs. 51000 per patient).
Jeev Sewa Sansthan, in addition to bearing the expenses of organizing the concert, donate a sum of Rs. 51000 to Palak for the surgery of one child.
